The tape should not matter, unless, as it is comfortable for you. In relation to the dog, the only part of what it is the collar or harness.

Once an event in my local Humane Society refused to allow anyone with retractable leash. They were given a leash and regularly have their realization. Okay, the decline is not only safe enough. Listed not only for the above reasons, my answer is, but how do you go to control your dog very quickly if a conflict breaks out between a dog and a dog?

As I'm sure you know, the min pins fast little guys. I like the band with a large handle so that I am getting better. It is not the dog off the leash only the neck.

Now you can not use your PIN minutes, but you can! : D
Just my preference, but I like to use mobile lines, I'm not very coordinated and have trouble controlling my dogs in a stunner.

The Flexi-lines are ... dangerous.

If your dog is exceptionally well-trained and fully adapted to your orders, you must use a certain length of line, when his or her foot. The work is basically that the dog has more freedom to be mobile ... This is exactly the opposite of what the dog ... To receive consumes less freedom!

I'm sure you know (or have recently taken) from the Min-Pin can take-off like a rocket, if something catches your attention ... What if you're not careful, that is a fraction of a second, he / she head to the end at full speed and ... in traffic or on a busy sidewalk (shooting pedestrians who do not realize that the dog is a piece of wire attached to an owner of 20 feet!), or snap his neck ...

I prefer the standard 6-foot leash, or a 4-foot when I was in training or work, if I have one of my dogs in a state of great distraction. So I know where my dog. I truly believe that the Flexi an invitation tor disaster.
