Would you like wind or solar power? In any case, cheap solar cells to obtain because they are really expensive to get started. Windmills are a bit unpredictable in their reliability. And you need a converter that can pass a windmill at the public power, when it received no wind. It's a great thing, and you really do not save much money anyway.
